This house is detached and set in a good sized plot on a small estate.
The property has kerbside appeal with green lawns, a lovely setting and a blue and white Alentejo-style finish.
The property is fronted by walls and metal railings and the gardens are a mixture of shrubs, decorative stones and lawned areas.
The house is fronted by a patio which offers views over to the hills and a small wood.
The patio wraps around the front and side of the house leading to the front door.
The main door opens up into the large open plan lounge diner.
The main feature of the lounge is the large fireplace which also has a heat recycler (recuperador) making the most of the heat from the fire.
To the front of the lounge are two patio doors and to the side is a large window letting in lots of light. The floor is finished in russet ceramic tiles.
The lounge opens up through an archway giving access to the staircase, kitchen, downstairs bathroom and bedroom one.
The kitchen is fitted with arrange of modern base and wall mounted units. The units are in dark beach with light marble worktops. There is an oven and hob with extractor and also space to install a dishwasher. A door at the back of kitchen opens up onto a small terrace and the back garden.
From the hallway you will find a door leading to the large family bathroom and the ground floor bedroom.
The bathroom has excellent finishes and includes a shower over the bath and bidet.
The downstairs bedroom is large with fitted wardrobes and a large rear aspect window.
The whole of the downstairs is laid out well making most of the light and giving a very open feel to the ground floor.
Stone stairs with wood balustrade lead up to the first floor. The half-landing has a feature stone wall.
Once again, the layout of the house is open and makes excellent use of the space.
A large open plan area faces you as you arrive on this level, currently this is used as a second lounge but it would be possible to make an extra bedroom here and still have a large landing or small study area.
To the right and left are two good sized bedrooms with wood floors and large fitted wardrobes making use of the space below the eaves. Both bedrooms have windows to the side aspects.
The upstairs bathroom is huge and spacious with a four piece suite. Should you wish, it would not be difficult to split this and make an en-suite for one of the two bedrooms.
On now to the lower floor.
The lower floor is open plan and comprises garage and utility room. This area is the full footprint of the house so there is plenty of room to park cars, put in a playroom, do your hobbies or just store all your stuff.
The garage is accessed either by the internal stairs from the ground floor or the driveway and double garage door.
The utility area has plumbing for washing machine and also has the pre-installation for the central heating should you want it.
Outside the house, the garden is on 3 sides and the driveway to the underground garage on the 4th side.
The garden has been laid in a way to make it easy to maintain. To the front and side is lawn and shrub area and to the rear is a large are of garden that is currently planted with decorative plants but has plenty of room for veg and fruit.
Also to the rear is a patio area with built-in BBQ.
This property would make an ideal family home as it is well laid out and in a great location.
In the village are several cafes and a restaurant and mini-market.
Just a few kilometres way is the ancient walled town of Obidos – this can be seen from the front patio of the house.
Also a short distance away is Caldas da Rainha which has everything you want including two public pools, cinema, shopping centre, many large supermarkets, hospital and much more.
Lisbon is less than one hour away by car and hourly buses are available from Caldas. The lovely beaches of the Silver Coast are 10 minutes and the excellent golf courses of Bom Successo, Royal Obidos and Prai d’el Rey are not much more.
This property is well worth considering as the finishes are excellent throughout. This villa was built only 8 years ago and is in great condition.
